Job Description

We are looking to recruit a full-time administrator to provide efficient and effective support for workforce development programmes within our Professional Administration and Support Team.

The role of Senior Student and Programme Administrator carries varied remit which would suit applicants who are keen to develop their career within higher education. The role is to primarily support the newly developed Advanced Clinical Practice MSc programme and the workforce development modules for Healthcare professionals. You will ensure an excellent level of customer service is provided to all stakeholders and that institutional and regulatory policies and procedures are understood and consistently applied. This also includes ensuring that the apprenticeship pathway meets the EFSA requirements. Please note that as the students are healthcare professionals, most student contact will take place online. If you are seeking to build upon experience and knowledge already gained within an HE environment the role offers candidates an excellent opportunity to enhance professional learning and to develop skills and expertise in a range of higher education administrative functions.

The post will currently be working from home, however, subject to COVID restrictions lifting, staff will be expected to work on a blended in office/at home basis. The post is located within a busy office environment in the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education. We are a lively student-centered Faculty bringing together wide-ranging practice-based education and training programmes across nursing and allied health professions.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A highly organized and self-motivated individual and an experienced higher education administrator with a strong attention to detail, you will be innovative and a good team-player. You will be committed to providing the best quality service to internal and external colleagues and partners. Demonstrating an ability to work flexibly within a team and to build and maintain sound working relationships in contributing to the delivery of an efficient and comprehensive support service. Experience of working accurately and paying close attention to detail, working with sensitive situations with discretion, and an awareness of the need for confidentiality in all student/customer matters are essential.
