Job Description
A modern and highly accredited solicitor’s firm in Canterbury are seeking an Admin Assistant to join the specialist personal injury and clinical negligence teams.
They are a successful and reputable solicitor’s firm dealing with a range of personal injury/clinical negligence matters to include:
- Accidents at Work
- Medical Negligence
- Fatal Accidents
- Head Injuries
- Road Traffic Accident Claims
- Slips and Trips
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Handling incoming enquiries by telephone arranging meetings and greeting clients.
- Assist in the completion of requested print, scan, photocopying, binding jobs from the legal departments and ensure that these are completed and delivered in a timely manner.
- Opening/ closing client files.
- Participate in the distribution of post, DX, couriers, deliveries and supplies around the firm.
- Procurement of various supplies, including stationery, photocopier equipment, franking etc.
- Appropriately record incoming supplies against orders made and raising queries with suppliers, if required.
- Provide basic IT support to all legal departments across the firm, eg. Changing hardware such as screens, keyboards etc.
- Be flexible by covering for other business support departments such at Reception, Hospitality, Switchboard and Archiving in all offices.
- Provide and analysis reporting on all areas to ensure that they are achieving their SLAs.
- Light lifting and carrying of files and equipment.
- Any other duties as reasonably required by the business.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Educated to GCSE/ A Level. Experience within a legal environment (not essential). Be able to drive and have your own transport. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Excellent client/customer service. Able to multi-task. Works well under pressure. Must be a team player. Adaptable to change and new initiatives. Previous experience in working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Be process and deadline driven. Ability to think outside the box and solve problems. Ability to use your own initiative, priorities incoming work/deadlines whilst working under pressure. Excellent client/customer service with the ability to converse with people at all levels with the business.
