Job Description

We are looking to recruit someone who is keen to learn and develop their business administration skills and knowledge within the field of health and safety/business continuity. This role will be in support of all Council services with the aim of assisting to minimize the Council’s exposure to H&S risks.

The main duties of the business administrator apprentice will be to:

  • Provide support to Assets & Development in the provision of an effective and efficient H&S service for the London Borough of Hillingdon;
  • Assist the Council’s H&S Manager/Advisors in the provision of high quality competent advice on all aspects of H&S relating to Council employees and others who may be affected by activities of the Council, thereby assisting the Council to meet its statutory duties for H&S; and
  • Support the team by acting as the liaison between the Council’s various departments, services, employees and the H&S team; and
  • Support the team in the development and delivery of the first aid training and H&S training programme; and
  • Support the team coordinating/reviewing the Council’s business continuity plans; and
  • Assist in the production of statistical information and analysis for regular reports to senior management.
