Job Description

You will act as first point of contact to guests and patients and ensure an excellent experience in a warm, friendly, discreet and efficient manner. Your role is to provide patients and guests with outstanding service.

Candidates must be flexible in their working hours, work varied shifts between the hours of 6.30am and 8.30pm 7 days per week.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Welcome all patients, visitors, consultants and staff to the reception area and provide direction to the hospital departments when required.
  • Provide a reception service in a warm and friendly manner, responding appropriately to telephone and face to face enquiries from staff, patients, consultants and visitors.
  • Ensure that all enquiries are promptly passed to a relevant member of staff who is able to deal with the request.
  • When required operate the hospital switchboard. Answer high volume telephone enquiries confidently directing calls efficiently when needed.
  • Ensure that the Front of House and waiting areas are kept tidy and free from trip hazards.

This role will be ideal for a candidate who is experienced in working in Front of House / Reception for a high end Hotel or other high end environment.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous customer service administration experience within a high-end hospitality environment. Excellent organizational skills. Proficient IT skills using Microsoft Office. Demonstrable ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
