Job Description

Our client is an established chartered certified accountancy practice and they are now looking to recruit a Senior Accountant / Accounts Semi Senior to join the team.   This is a full-time role, but some flexibility is available for the right candidate.

This exciting new role will involve managing a portfolio of clients (mainly sole traders and partnerships) as well as supervising and reviewing work of junior staff.  You will become part of their friendly team and can expect a modern and comfortable work environment as they have a recently renovated offices with free parking on-site and they also have a shower and changing room (to encourage walking/running/cycling to work – or lunchtime leisure activities).

Relevant qualifications are desirable, but we will also consider applications from accountants with commensurate experience. Interviews are ongoing so apply now.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Have worked in practice with proven experience in a similar role - Be comfortable working with computerised records (ideally Sage & Xero) - Have experience of reviewing junior staff member’s work - Be confident with sole trader and partnership accounts (the ability to prepare company accounts would be a definite advantage). - Be proficient completing self-assessment tax returns - Have experience of meeting with clients, offering support and advice
