What would be my responsibilities as a Financial Cashier/ Accounts Assistant?
- Receipt daily cash/cheques, allocation of monies to customer accounts and prepare for banking.
- Production of cash reports on a daily / monthly basis. Daily review of Acquirer / Gateway provider dashboards and reconciliation with PiMs.
- Preparation of cash journals for posting in the financial ledger.
- Setting up Direct Debits (collections and payments)
- Manage the consultant Direct Debit collection process. This includes sending notification to Consultants before collection and allocating collection to individual Consultants accounts
- Post and allocate cheques to various debtor/patient accounts
- Assist in preparing and monitoring periodic cash forecasts
- Intra / Interbank transfers as instructed by Financial Controller
- Petty Cash management and reconciliation.
- Produce daily and monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts, ensuring that all reconciliation items are cleared appropriately.
- Allocate Bank receipts to debtor accounts including Insurance and self-pay patients receipts.
- Produce the monthly reconciliation for Consultant and follow up on any queries and issues
- Report on all bank reconciliation status
- Prepare monthly journals to record interest and other borrowing costs.
- Assist with reporting within timely deadlines on loan covenant, compliance processes and procedures
- To undertake any duties or reporting as requested by the Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Controller.
Am I the right person for this Cashier/ Accounts Assistant role?
- Prior experience of working in a high volume cashiering environment
- A minimum of five GCSE’s or equivalent.
- AAT, or equivalent qualification and willingness to undertake further training/qualifications relevant to the role
- Strong knowledge of IT (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and computerised accounting).
- Trustworthy and reliable.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
