Job Description

The successful applicant will have previous, recent experience working with SAP within a manufacturing, stock control, production planning capacity. You will be allocated their own supplier base and will then be responsible for using SAP to make sure the company has all of the materials they need, when they need them; raising PO's and chasing and re-scheduling orders.

The duties for this role will include but not be limited to:

  • Interpreting the company requirement plan and liaising with other departments to ensure effective and efficient stock levels for production and delivery requirements; and to generate or amend order cover as appropriate.
  • Negotiation with suppliers for quotations.
  • Processing and progressing purchase orders to facilitate on time delivery.
  • Following compliance process for imports of goods.
  • Carrying out invoice query reconciliation.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers to address supply line complaints received and to manage shipping and forwarding schedules.
  • Maintaining and managing electronic and manual systems with a high level of accuracy, taking ownership of MRP input accuracy.
  • Processing Engineering Change Notes (ECNs).

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will have/ be: Previous SAP experience. Previous MRP / stock control / production planning experience. Good IT skills. Happy to work in a fast-paced, pressurized (but supported) environment. Well organized and able to manage a high volume of work efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
