The ideal candidate is someone with experience in a similar role who is keen to take ownership of the role and duties and grow with the company. The individual will be self-motivated, work well with non-finance professionals and be eager to work collaboratively with teams in different locations and time-zones. This individual will understand the nature of a small finance team within the context of a growing business where pro-activeness is a must and various levels of tasks will fall under their remit.
What’s involved?
Responsible for parts of the US, UK and Group month end processes
Semi-monthly payroll for the US company and assisting with monthly UK company payroll
Aged debtors reports
Credit control and writing demand for payment letters where necessary
Replying to customer finance queries
Assisting sales team with administrative tasks such as vendor registrations
Reconciliations (for example to ensure all invoicing has been completed per our sales database)
Assist with management of Fixed Assets Registers
Ad hoc finance requests as needed
Who you are:
High proficiency in Excel
Experience posting journals
Strong academic background
Understand Trial Balance to Income Statement and Balance Sheet
Understand concepts of Revenue and Deferred Income
Performed at least one similar role previously
Able to effectively deal and communicate with non-finance professionals
