Job Description

You will assist in the running of procurement systems including maintenance and development of stock and non - stock catalogues, monitoring of database suppliers. You will support on the tracking & reporting of savings and benefits achieved by procurement activities to facilitate communication with the Category teams, executive board and other key stakeholders.
You will be highly skilled in IT systems enabling you to run reports and complete data analysis to advise the business on complex financial information and contracts management issues. Using excellent communication you will liaise with stakeholders across the organization to ensure savings are identified, implemented and recognized.

  • To support on the tracking & reporting of savings and benefits achieved by procurement activities to facilitate communication with the Category teams, executive board and other key stakeholders
  • Monitoring spend and trends, helping to identify opportunities and areas of risk and where necessary escalating issues and opportunities
  • To run routine and ad hoc reports as requested
  • To track and report savings and benefits achieved by procurement activities to facilitate communication for the Senior Category Manager
  • To analyze data and identify priority areas for cost savings and process improvements
  • Act as first point of contact for all procurement system queries, delivering excellent customer service
  • Electronic filing and data input of contracts information to support the category management teams
  • Ensuring stock levels are up to date, appropriately set and fully authorized by the budget holder

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent IT Skills – including databases, all Microsoft packages especially excel with demonstrable experience. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with all employees and customers. Problem solving skills and use of initiative to resolve complex issues within the category of spend and savings. Strong business acumen and the ability to influence. Previous Procurement/ materials management or finance experience.
