Your new role
Your key duties will include performing and supporting certain monthly closing activities, preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for group and statutory reporting purposes. You will prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identify risk and control improvement opportunities along with providing support to other Financial Accountants and Senior Management. You will raise miscellaneous billing and payment requests, support year-end audit and interim reviews, provide accurate analysis to identify opportunities to the business, along with supporting projects around process improvement and accounting processes and controls.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this newly created part-time Assistant Accountant role you will have experience within a similar position, ideally AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience. You will be capable of working autonomously, but also work well within a team, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge. You will need to be highly motivated to understand how systems and processes work, along with being able to challenge them and bring innovation/change. Strong communication skills are essential and the ability to manage work-loads. It would be advantageous but not essential if you have experience using SAP, along with proficiency in additional languages including Dutch, German, French, Spanish & Italian.
