Job Description

• Ensuring accounting functions are up to date with regulatory changes
• Ensuring compliance and implementation of new and existing accounting policies
• Liaising with stakeholders on projects impacting the financial accounts
• Support month end/year end closing
• Review account transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Assisting with queries from, and delivery of data to, internal and external auditors
• Assisting with year-end audit queries.
• Supporting the key accounting departments where required
• Ensuring accounting functions are up to date with regulatory changes

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Fully qualified ACCA/ACA is essential Previous Audit experience Previous accounting experience including working knowledge of FRS102 and Fixed Assets essential Excellent communication skills and confidence in partnering with stakeholders Confident in identifying, resolving and escalating key points/issues requiring immediate address and managing assumptions and decisions. Prepare annual financial statements for statutory audit with all supporting notes and schedules Regular review of accounting processes to ensure the best level of efficiency and controls are in place at all times Excellent computer skills - including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and accounting packages, with experience of SAP FI Self-motivated with exemplary organisational skills, able to multi -task and manage their own work Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines Some travel throughout the UK and abroad may be required German language is desirable but not essential
