About the role
This role is key to the overall success of the Sales and Business organisation within our B2B segment. We are looking for an ambitious, tenacious and intuitive finance professional that can own the delivery, robust reporting and governance of the Business P&L with specific focus on the ICT contracts and accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include forecasting, reporting and governance of the Professional Services P&L – via the Project Financial Tracker process
- Ownership of Business Accounting, Reporting and Forecasting for Delivery
- Financial support and partnering of Professional Services / Managed Services functions (approx. 175 heads)
- Management and analysis of the Delivery Business P&L including Non Mobile/ ICT month end process
- Preparing month end management pack. Ensuring messages are effectively communicated and remedy action plans in place when required.
- Responsible for the main cost drivers within Delivery inclusive of Professional Services (Headcount), Hardware/Software and 3rd Party charges
- Lead the forecasting process alongside the Deployment Engineers, Project Managers and Programme Managers using Project Financial Tracking
- Process improvements to develop and improve the level of control and governance of financial inputs.
Key skills/experience/behaviours
- Qualified accountant preferred but relevant experience also acceptable
- Prior experience in Project Accounting a key requirement
- Excellent communication: ability to articulate orally and in writing to both financial and non-financial based stakeholders a must
- Pride in high quality: candidate should strive for high quality, accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of their work
- Previous experience in reporting role within a large organisation with complex processes and systems
- Ability to challenge the status-quo in a clear, sophisticated and tenacious manner
- Experience from an ICT or Services business preferred
