Key aspects of this Specialist Teaching Assistant role:

• Longer term Autism support TA required starting by Wednesday 8th September 2021
• SEN TA (Autism comfortable) required on a full-time basis
• Supporting an Autistic student aged 11; working on a 1:1 basis with them in line with their EHCP
• Competitive pay rate with earning potential up to £1450 per month (hours to be confirmed but likely 8:30 – 3:30pm)
• Work under the highly experienced SENCO and Assistant SENCO
• Opportunity to continue working with the school after the 1 term depending on suitability to the position and school

This mixed secondary school is in the Trafford area of Manchester with fantastic facilities for all students. The school has been renovated internally with the latest technology and equipment and has been praised for its inclusive nature and ability to ensure students of all needs and backgrounds make the most of school life. The school has a high percentage of students with EAL (English as an additional language) given the diversity of the local area.

The successful Teaching Assistant should have relevant experience of supporting a student with Autism, either on a personal care level or with prior experience within a secondary school setting. The school has a team of 5 Teaching Assistants who all work within the department, so the successful TA will benefit from collaborating with a professional and approachable team.
