This role would perfectly suit a skilled part qualified (CIMA or ACCA) accountant looking to take the next step in their career to an all-encompassing officer role with total oversight across the business.
Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts through to trial balance
Production of the monthly board pack and commentary for the two businesses
Facilitating regular meetings with budget holders to review spend
Challenge internal managers on margins and labor costs
Assisting budget holders with the production of yearly P&L budgets
Suggesting improvements in key performance and defining measurable
Supporting the Head of Finance and other key stakeholders with business plans
Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations
Supervising & supporting the wider finance team
Working with the finance team, other departments and directors to improve processes and ensuring financial information is shared
Preparing financial analysis and reports as required
Any other adhoc duties deemed reasonable and necessary by the HoF
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent). Highly proficient in a range of accounting systems and MS Office - Excel & Word. A high level of verbal and written communication skills is essential. Excellent telephone manner and professional email correspondence is required. Ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels including senior management is essential.
