Job Description
Working as a key member of the finance team, this role is responsible for enabling the finance team to function more efficiently and effectively with increased visibility over ongoing projects.
The key areas of focus are:-
- Finance Projects – maintain and update the tracker, working with the finance leadership team to understand stage of completion, highlight risks and clashes and ensure deadlines met
- Financial Analysis & Support – work across & with multiple teams to support as required (Financial Reporting during month end, FP&A for commentary and ad-hoc requests from the Head of Finance)
- Administration Management – support the Head of Finance and Finance team with day to day administration and requirements including diary management
The day-to-day duties of this role includes:-
- Support financial reporting team during month end with journals and supporting analysis
- Work with the FP&A team to carry out analysis and write commentary
- Support consolidation of forecasts and summarizing information to be shared
- Ad hoc analysis, data gathering and modelling as directed by Head of Finance
- Develop and maintain the finance projects tracker, challenging project leaders around achievable deadlines
- Manage Head of Finance's diary
- Support the wider finance and business improvement team as required, ensuring that the team is compliant with internal timelines and processes (e.g. new starters, equipment requests)
- Manage the Finance ' Microsoft Teams' channel, ensuring that all required messages are cascaded to the whole team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Degree educated (Accountancy, Economics or other numerical subject). Accounting knowledge. Numerical aptitude, with experience of Excel and a willingness to learn. Experienced in organizing/managing projects/activities desirable. Good communications skills - both verbal and written.
