Job Description

You will be the company’s main administrator and serve as the frontline for the Clinic, working closely with the Practice Manager to assist and support in all administrative duties. You will also work with our Ophthalmic Technicians to ensure daily smooth running of the Clinic.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Management of the Clinic and Consultants’ diaries
  • Book Tests and Consultations
  • Billing and invoicing of patient accounts
  • Maintaining patient databases; accurate capture of patient information
  • Provision of secretarial services; production and delivery of clinic letters and prescriptions
  • Chasing of outstanding monies; credit control
  • Filing and record keeping
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to all incoming emails
  • Scanning of documents
  • Production, capture and analysis of patient satisfaction

Full-time. The role is currently 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Hours may be subject to change dependent on the needs and requirements of the business.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Credit Control; dealing with insurance companies. Private Healthcare setting both frontline and back office administration; at least 2 years. Provision of secretarial services to Consultants. Microsoft Office Word, and Excel at Intermediate level. Ability to work both as part of a team and unsupervised to meet the varied needs of the Clinic. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and flexibly when required. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to pick up new systems and procedures quickly. Highly organized manner with ability to priorities workload. Excellent spoken and written English.
