Job Description
Build and manage relationships with both the leadership team and wider business, providing finance and commercial insight to help develop the business
Build a deep understanding of the business model - including products, sales channels, customers, pricing, competitors, cost of customer acquisition, renewal rates, profitability
Work with the business to help them develop their understanding of company finances and impact of decision making
Utilise data from multiple sources to provide a holistic view of business performance.
Overall responsibility of P&L, Cashflow and Balance Sheet for both actuals and forecasting perspective
Review and oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring adherence to reporting timetables
Production of a monthly local Board report to present to SMT and Group
Sign off of monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and control accounts
Responsibility for regular forecasting and input into Group budgeting / forecasting processes (at least twice a year)
Liaising with various stakeholders both within finance and the wider business
Manage, lead and develop the Finance Assistant/Office Manager
Lead the local team in the management of transactional finance
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA • Demonstratable commercial finance experience with a proven track record of successfully changing the way the business works • Ability to use insights and data to grow the business and predict and assess opportunities and challenges • Strong attention to detail but also able to think strategically • Strong leadership skills • Excellent interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills • Strong Excel and modelling skills • Comfortable working in a matrix management environment with dual reporting lines
