Job Description

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Liaising with clients by phone, letter and email, to process client inward and outward payments by cheque, credit card, bank transfer.
  • Currency conversions using system rates
  • Booking and processing foreign currency transactions.
  • Preparation and soft-reconciliation of bank accounts on a daily basis, including foreign currency accounts, using accounting and banking software and processing transactions on out accounting system.
  • Assisting with the Direct Debit collection process, including attending any necessary external training courses.
  • Assistance with internal and external Audit requirements.
  • General office administration in connection with processing inward and outward payments.
  • Assistance with client Debtor control and monitoring, using a system driven diary system.
  • General Office administration whilst adhering to company policy and procedures.
  • Assisting other staff within the accounts team where necessary on varied other functions, to assist in your understanding of the wider financial environment of financial policy administration. This list is not exhaustive but will include investigating and dealing with discrepancies, full customer enquiries (financial aspects only), handling petty cash and preparing reports on Client and Insurer transactions that form part of the regular financial reporting to insurers and other intermediaries.
