Job Description

Due to growth, this practice of Chartered Accountants is currently recruiting for a qualified or part qualified ACA or ACCA with audit experience seeking public practice career development. This is a full-time and permanent position. Applications will be considered from qualified AAT candidates with audit experience or a minimum of 5 years of practice experience. This role will be possibly 50% accounts prep etc. and 50% audit. The role will include the planning, detailed testing and completion of audits for small, medium and large companies and charities. There is no portfolio of clients but you will have client contact and as you will be working on the same clients you will build up a natural rapport and knowledge of them.

Main duties will include

  • Planning, detailed testing and completion of audits;
  • Preparation of accounts from client records;
  • Independent examinations for charities;
  • Preparation of tax computations;
  • Preparation and submission of company tax returns; and
  • Client interaction.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Confidentiality. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Confidence with numbers. Good spoken and written communication skills.Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work with others and independently. Good Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of IRIS and MyWorkpapers would be beneficial but not required.
