Job Description
OPERATIONAL:
- Deliver monthly accounting responsibilities accurately and to agreed timelines
- Partner with Business Support team to review new/changes in gross to net revenue adjustments and determination of their accounting treatment.
- Monitoring of gross to net provisions relating to statutory and negotiated agreements for markets in scope, to include management of paybacks in accordance with local and contractual requirements
- Assist with internal and external audit queries
- Prepare detailed reporting as required to support Senior Management and the commercial organization
- Support O2C operations team and Supply Chain with operational activities for markets in scope, to include, but not limited to:
- Management of escalated / exceptional customer query resolution
- New launch readiness, including support of process and policy review and update
- Escalation of Vertex and customer-initiated queries to the appropriate teams within Vertex
- Prepare insightful analytics for reporting to key stakeholders on supply trends to support order management initiatives
- Participation in the development of a new Automated Journal Entry tool which will automate “Gross To Net” journal entries and other ad-hoc accounting projects as required.
STRATEGIC:
- Provide strategic input into recommendations for change and process improvement
- Develop, manage, implement and evolve policy, driven by business needs, hands on observations and analytical assessment
- Ensure transparency in the delivery of information to international, regional and corporate stakeholders inside and outside of finance / accounting
- Participate in the development of new systems, processes and automation
- Participation in other ad-hoc accounting projects as required
- Build a partnership of trust and open communication between International Accounting team, European management and US corporate stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Public, certified or chartered accountant
- Experience of working in a multinational pharmaceutical / Biotech company
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective communication across all levels, cross site and with key external stakeholders
- Established record in managing multiple and competing priorities
- Adaptable to change and ability to work well under pressure, whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Professional attitude with a proactive and flexible approach
- Strong attention to detail
- Good Excel skills, Oracle experience an advantage
- Business level English and German language skills are essential.
