Job Description

As a Security Assurance Advisor you'll ensure that Babcock is compliant and effective in supporting and delivering Security against Nuclear Regulations and FMSP Contractual conditions for the Devonport Royal Dockyard site. Working collaboratively with the customer to optimise security arrangements ensuring compliance, whilst looking for continuous improvements in all areas.

You'll be responsible for providing first level Security Assurance and interface across both nuclear and non-nuclear areas; support security management on integrated security assurance activity to allow decision making at the level where influence can take place; analyse security performance metrics and indicators and support identification of factors where deficiencies in Devonport security arrangements are identified; identify trends in security performance and potential security risks before they materialise and provide innovative security solutions to business units to deliver the required security effects in the most effective and efficient manner. You'll also author corrective action plans, developed on the basis of internal assurance findings and monitor their implementation as appropriate.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You'll need significant experience in Nuclear security and programme delivery (with excellent Policy, Regulation and Governance interpretation experience). A CPNI Training Pathway qualification is also an essential requirement for this post. We would also like you to have some or all of the following: • Completed or willing to complete formal Assurance/Auditors ISO qualification. • Knowledge of Nuclear Regulations and FMSP Contractual conditions • Digital CPNI Foundation • Protecting my Asset (Deter, Detect, Delay) • Follow on courses to the digital training pathway Lastly, you'll have excellent Customer Service and communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.
