We are looking for an employee to join our highly specialized, multidisciplinary team caring for families with an inherited and familial predisposition to bowel and other cancers. You will need to be highly motivated, caring, willing to learn and have excellent computer skills,
The post holder will be the first point of contact for patients, healthcare professionals and members of the public who contact the service, working in a busy office environment with a multi-disciplinary team consisting of administrators, doctors and nurses.
The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of IT systems, using the hospital electronic booking system to book new and follow-up patient appointments, retrieving and preparing patient records and using our specialist database for ensuring that patients are recalled for their endoscopic surveillance in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and email and must have general office experience. Full training will be provided for the use of the specialist database and Progeny (family tree drawing tool). Experience of database use, however, is important. The conditions we manage are rare and and full training will be given where required.
