Job Description
  • Role model great Customer focus in a semi-automated Fulfilment Centre/Warehouse environment.

  • Effectively co-ordinate resource to provide excellent service to customers by:
  • Forward plan to ensure right resource is available at the right time in the coming week.
  • Update the Outbound Supervisor and Operations Manager to ensure they are kept well informed and able to pro-actively support.
  • Be knowledgeable of department performance indicators and take the actions required to achieve these.
  • Understand what may be getting in the way of individuals delivering a great service and actively remove these obstacles with them, carrying out regular performance reviews and annual appraisals.
  • Celebrate success within the team, being creative in the way you achieve this and provide constructive feedback on individual’s contribution to delivering great outcomes.
  • Be readily available to resolve colleague queries, leaving them with a smile on their face where possible and support our Customer facing teams in resolving queries and issues.
  • Ensure our Team Schein Members have the tools to deliver their role well.
  • Support the wider team in maintaining compliance to all legislative requirements relating to the movement and storage of stock.
  • Be a clear communicator and use a variety of methods to keep the team well informed through regular team briefings communicating news, updates and policy, process changes and performance data to Team Schein Members and ideas and suggestions from TSM’s to the rest of the business as part of a process of Continuous Improvement.
  • Ensure that all required Inductions, role related training and Health and Safety training is completed for all TSM’s in a timely manner.
  • Please note that as this position is for a Team Leader in a warehouse/ fulfilment Centre environment the use of warehouse equipment, lifting and carrying and operating some machinery will be required.
  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience working in a Distribution Centre, Fulfilment Centre or Warehouse. Successfully led a team delivering or exceeding performance targets. Knowledge of and practical experience leading continuous improvement in a large team. Experience in a fast moving environment meeting same day order / same day dispatch demand. A strong focus on Customer Experience and Quality.
