Job Description

Job purpose

Working closely with the President of UK Region, you will operate as a member of the board of local entity and you will be responsible for Governance and Integrity in Financial Reporting and overhead management of the country.

Key duties/responsibilities:

 

  • Partners with the executive team in providing solid forecasting and financial analysis to support key business decisions.
  • Drives the financial performance for the regional organisation. Acts as a trusted partner to a variety of internal groups and functions within BT (such as Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Contracts & Legal Affairs, and others) and provides commercial finance partnership to the front end of the business.
  • Provides leadership, direction and management of UK Finance Team. Develops team members, leading by example.
  • Leads the development, implementation and continuous improvement activities for all regional finance policies and procedures, and ensures their compliance with external financial regulations. Responsible for the implementation of established standardized finance best practices in the country.
  • Ensures correct statutory financial statements and reports in accordance with local GAAP.
  • Establishes with Controllership and FP&A organization the five-year strategic plan including the financial projections and follows on its execution. Monitors the cash in / cash out and FCF.
  • Ensures good communication with Key Stakeholders within the Regional and Global Business, and acts as main point of contact for Audits


Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field. Preferably fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Extensive experience in business or finance domain, preferably in a multinational, complex environment. Proven experience in developing and implementing financial strategies, at country/ region level, covering several sites.
  • Experience and proven results in project management.
  • Strong management and leadership skills. Ability to provide leadership and guidance on strategy development and operational reporting
  • A strong continuous improvement mind-set and financial commercial experience .
  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationship
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent English skills.
