Job Description

1. Work with the Head of Finance to develop and implement systems and procedures to enable the effective day to day financial operations of the Charity.
2. Manage the Finance team consisting of: Trainee Accountant and Finance Assistant. Mentor the Trainee Accountant to achieve ACCA qualification.
3. Be main point of contact for all finance related issues across all functions.
4. Prepare and manage all accounts (including Trading Accounts) belonging to the Charity.
Monitor budgets, (actual spend and income against budgets) and investigate any variances.
5. Analyze and undertake a cost benefit analyses of all departments, ensuring all income is maximized and expenditure is optimized. Review with Head of Finance and Chief Executive.
6. Review budget findings with the Head of Finance, Trainee Accountant on a monthly basis. Provide financial management reports to the Trustees Board on a regular basis.
7. Assist the head of Finance with the preparation of annual year-end accounts for the Trustees and Auditor
8. Liaise with External Auditor with providing information and answering end of year queries.
9. Ensure that time sheets are collated and time allocated to all department codes.
10. Liaise with the third-party payroll provider on monthly salaries, resolving any issues, and sending out individual pay slips to employees.
11. Produce a monthly outstanding debts reports and take action (with the Finance Assistant) for any outstanding debts.
12. Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the aims of this project and the level of this role, as directed.
