Job Description
You will provide an efficient and effective sixth form student support system for the Academy and support. Your duties will include:
- Being the first point of contact for all stakeholders.
- Being the first point of contact for all stakeholders who telephone the Academy.
- Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, passing on messages when required.
- Leading on the collating and updating of information on manual and computer based systems with regards to the Post 16 student bursary.
- Assisting students to manage their bursary spending including advising on what can be claimed.
- Managing the administration of the applications process.
- Administering Careers Guidance Events as part of the applications process.
- Allocating students to differing sites as part of the consortium.
- Seeking references from external candidates where required, organizing the interview process and sending letters informing students as to whether their application has been successful.
- Organizing induction into Y12 and Y13 via letter, spread sheet and liaison with subject teachers
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will have: Good level of secondary education. Good communication skills verbal and non-verbal. The ability to use Word, Excel and emails competently. Good organization skills, keeping a clean, tidy, well ordered environment. High level of accuracy. Experience working in a busy school environment. Experience working within a team. Experience of school computer packages. Experience working with children and young adults.
