Job Description

You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative service to the team to ensure an effective and efficient service. You will be required to provide a high-quality service to all internal and external stakeholders, including meeting and greeting, being the first point of contact for telephone calls, meeting and greeting visitors to the office, and ordering, receiving and checking deliveries and post, as well as other administration duties. You will be the first point of contact for all visitors and phone calls, dealing with queries effectively and confidentially. Good communication skills, both spoken and written are essential. You will be in your comfort zone supporting the team and managers with minting, projects and research when required. You will be joining a supportive and caring team who put a relentless focus on the outcomes of the children and young people in our care. This will include an oversight of the Fostering Panel, annual reviews for foster careers and assisting with inputting data onto our internal information system Charms, along with file management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will have experience of working within an office environment and supporting a busy team. The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel to create reports. It is important that you are able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. You should have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure with a flexible working attitude. You must be organized with the ability to manage numerous tasks and deadlines. Teamwork is important as well as being able to work on your own initiative. It will be useful to have experience of dealing with Panel administration which would include minute taking. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your own personal skills and capability though on-going training as agreed with your line manager.
