Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen within one of the UK's fastest growing and reputable Waterproofing Companies, who are specialists in providing Basement Waterproofing, Damp & Timber solutions to a large portfolio of clients in the public and private sector.

Due to continued growth, our client now requires additional support at the head office and is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit finance team.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager and key duties will include:

  • Matching purchase invoices with orders
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Running monthly purchase ledger payments, via BACS
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Supporting the Credit manager with credit control
  • Inputting sales ledger invoices and applications onto internal reports
  • Inputting sub-contract pay sheets onto the system and processing subcontract payments
  • Paying subcontractors by BACS

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum of 12 months experience working as an account assistant Strong administrative skills Knowledge of the following software - Microsoft Office Excel, simPRO and Xero Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Good numeracy skills with a high attention to detail Commercial awareness Logical and methodical approach to work Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
