About the role

• Preparing and presenting management accounts reports to senior management
• Implementing and managing budget and forecasting processes
• Ensuring accurate accounting records are produced and maintained
• Oversight of the sales (credit control) and purchase ledgers
• Ensuring Galeta Bakery meets all its statutory and compliance obligations
• Monitoring and managing outsourced services - HR/Payroll/Tax
• Managing the reporting cycle - daily, weekly and monthly
• Analysing and evaluating financial targets
• Pro-actively looking to identify and implement process improvements and technology enhancements that will benefit the business
• Providing financial advice and guidance to senior management 
• Ensuring that the Finance Department becomes a valued partner to the wider business 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ideally, you’ll be an existing Financial Controller who understands the role and has implemented systems and processes within this function A recognised accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, ACMA Strong technical knowledge and business partnering focus Commercial business acumen Has built a finance team, identifying opportunities for improvement and mitigating risks within the operation Experience of working within either FMCG or food manufacturing  Leadership experience of a finance team in a rapidly growing business An extensive understanding of Sage 50
