Skills and Experience required by our Head of Human Resources:
- CIPD Qualification (Level 7 or above)
- MA Human Resource Management or similar
- CIPD Professional Registration
- Willingness to complete the Halliwell continuous professional development staff training programme and other relevant training for profession
- Significant generalist HR experience at a senior management level
- Experience as a member on a senior leadership team with strong business acumen (commercial awareness)
- Experience managing budgets with a focus on value for money and return on investment
- Experience leading successful teams
- Experience in change management and service redesign
- An exceptional communicator with the ability to influence and partner at all levels in an organisation
- Leading, developing and implementing HR Strategies to meet the regulator’s legal requirements e.g. Ofsted, Safer Recruitment or similar
- Analysing interpreting and reporting on HR metrics
- Leading on complex employee relation cases
- Implementing employee engagement initiatives to monitor and improve engagement levels
- Experience overseeing a recruitment strategy that delivers a sufficient supply of appropriate and capable staff
- Experience of leading on workforce planning aligned to business goals
- Experience in capability assessment and training needs analysis to create bespoke learning interventions
- Experience leading on talent management and learning and development initiatives to improve workforce skills and capability
