We are seeking a credit controller to be responsible for managing customer’s credit accounts in accordance with various company credit terms.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Sending monthly statements of accounts to clients and following up with a courtesy call.
Monitoring customer credit limits in order to identify overdue and problem accounts
Alerting management if a sales order may breach the agreed terms
Liaising with management and operational teams for any overdue payment in order to decide whether the account should be put on hold
Making follow up calls to ensure all queries are resolved and debts are paid in a timely and efficient manner in line with KPI's
For seriously overdue accounts, escalation of debts to threat of legal action, proceeding with legal action and issuance of court summons

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven credit control experience, working on key accounts within a Business to Business organisation, ideally within the shipping/logistics industry Sound knowledge of shipping terms will be an advantage Excellent written and verbal communication skills with tactful telephone manner Self-driven in seeking resolutions with problem accounts, Excellent organization skills with ability to meet strict deadlines Customer- centric and flexible with the ability to handle overdue credit accounts with risk based approach in order not to jeopardise relationship with customers Ability to deal with a range of different credit terms, with customers based in both the UK and overseas
