There are 2 sites within the Group, with over 250 employees on the payroll. Reporting into the CFO and having a dotted lined into the HR Director, you will be responsible for:
Administering and calculate casual staff pay, overtime, SSP, SMP, Pension and other adjustments
Ensuring that rotas and HR data input is reflected accurately in the payroll and handling any payroll queries
To be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of monthly payrolls
Complete all statutory and regulatory monthly and annual returns required by HMRC and Nest Pensions
Conduct regular system checks to ensure that the payroll database is working correctly, identifying any problems
Liaise closely with colleagues in the finance department, ensuring that monthly reconciliations for budget purposes are undertaken
Produce detailed management reports as required by the CFO, HR Director and other senior managers
Liaise with HMRC, DWP and other appropriate third parties to resolve any queries
Making sure KPIs for the payroll department are complied with
Person specification:
Extensive payroll experience, preferably within the hospitality industry
Strong customer service mindset and ability to work across all levels of management
A good communicator with the ability to work to deadlines and adding value to the business
Experience using Fourth software is desirable
