The Role

My client, a highly successful and innovative Firm of Chartered Accountants are looking to appoint an experienced digital accounting specialist for the position of Cloud Accounting Manager.

The firm are a multiple award winning business, being recognised as a leading employer, coupled with offering the highest level service to their client base.

The business are looking to appoint an ambitious qualified ACA/ACCA senior accountant who are looking to make a move into a managerial capacity.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting the firm Directors and Partnership team, the role of Cloud Accounting Manager will manage a portfolio of a wide range of clients with T/O up to £10 million, including OMB's in e-commerce, manufacturing and construction industry, responsibilities will include :

• Oversee the management of a client portfolio
• Manage workflow within the team, along with working closely with clients internal bookkeeper and management accounts staff
• Provide advisory support to clients
• Resolve technical issues with clients and colleagues
• Supervise and support staff at varying levels of qualification and experience, this will include carrying out staff appraisals and assisting with the development of their technical skills
• Knowledge of online accounting app market place, including Xero/QBO integrations to assist the finance function
• Plan assignments effectively, ensuring adequate resources are allocated and that staff are briefed and understand the requirements for each job
• Ensure clients expectations and managed and met
• Communicate effectively with clients and influence matters at client meetings, understanding the needs of the clients and the environment in which they operate

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Individuals must be qualified ACCA / ACA and currently working within a firm of accountants at Senior, Supervisor or Assistant Manager level within the accountancy profession, ideally with 3 years post qualified experience An excellent understanding of accounting packages and systems, ideally Xero and Cloud Accounting Software Experience of preparing management accounts including forecasting and budgeting Ability to manage and lead a team of accountants
