Job Description

This is extremely dynamic and is still developing and growing. It is an exciting time for us and the vast opportunities, created through the fusion of GAP and SPACE, are still to be completely realized. The post holder will be expected to provide high quality administrative support to members of the School Executive Board to ensure the efficient and effective administration of undergraduate and postgraduate provision, across the School. The post holder will collaborate with the Research and Postgraduate Research Administrator on a day to day basis, to: Manage the clerical team ensuring staff resource is flexed in line with the cycle of business and peaks in demand; Oversee the administrative processes attached to the School Office, reviewing and reengineering to optimize efficiency; Collaborate with the School Leadership Team in developing and implementing strategies.

  • A primary degree OR three year’s experience in a senior administration role within Higher Education.
  • A minimum of three years’ relevant experience leading administration teams, projects or processes including experience of: 
  • Planning and progressing work activities within organizational plans, policies and regulations.
  • Implementing and developing complex administration processes.
  • Providing advice and guidance on processes and procedures.
  • Producing and analyzing information to inform complex management decisions.
  • Managing multiple priorities and negotiating with a range of stakeholders.

This post is available for 1 year. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
