Job Description

You will work closely within a small team and alongside a Team Leader to achieve and maintain a high level of service to all our customers, both internal and external. The post holder will provide administration support to the warehouse and transport activities. They will also assist with assembling and loading customer orders in the ambient and chilled warehouses.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and issue goods in and out paperwork
  • Carry out administration duties using the Red Prairie Warehouse Management System
  • Ensure sufficient stock is allocated to the warehouse in a timely manner
  • Accurately receive, pick, assemble and load customer orders within depot accuracy targets, in accordance with the Red Prairie Warehouse Management System of Procedures.
  • Conduct tasks and activities in line with H&S, food hygiene practices and environmental procedures.
  • Adhere to instructions and training guidelines regarding manual handling, use of Mechanical Handling equipment, including pre-ops checks, reporting of defects, and the safe use and operation of all equipment
  • Contribute towards a clean and safe working environment, demonstrating concern to ensure that personal actions do not compromise the health and safety of self and/or colleagues at all times
  • Handle customer stock with care and consideration to minimize damages and maximize customer service
  • Be pro-active in assisting the depot to continuously improve the service provided to the customer
  • Complete operational documents appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain agreed performance and quality standards
  • Carry out any other duties and reasonable management requests

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
GCSE Math & English Grade C, or equivalent.  Excellent IT skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines & targets. Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules and read understand and follow directions.
