You will take responsibility for providing an effective and comprehensive payroll and transactional HR service. You will help contribute to the continuing quality of service provided by the Council in ensuring that their employees are paid accurately and on time.
How will I do this?
Processing payroll information via the SAP payroll system and dealing with required calculations.
Providing expert advice on HMRC and PAYE matters and requirements.
Administering pension requirements, validating timesheets, sickness information and calculations of annual leave.
Issuing contracts of employment and maintaining personal files.
As a payroll professional you will have:
Experience of working in a transactional process environment and ability to use SAP payroll software.
A strong background of administering processes in the employment life cycle.
Knowledge and understanding of PAYE and HMRC regulations.
Understanding of Tax, National Insurance, SSP and SMP.
