Role overview

The successful applicant will be an experience financial adviser and will be expected to provide tailored and bespoke advice to key clients and high net worth individuals.

We are looking for someone to bring their own portfolio of clients where possible however you will also be expected to develop relationships with existing clients. We are also looking for the successful applicant to develop new business by utilising other streams across teams in the firms network. The successful applicant will be expected to do a lot of networking and try to win work for the firm.

The successful applicant will work closely alongside our other Financial Advisor based in the Nottingham office while also having support from the team administrator.

Job description

• To offer an independent and holistic financial planning service to our clients.
• To build long term, and trusted relationships with our clients
• Analyse information and liaising with internal support to prepare recommendations best suited to individual clients’ requirements and review financial reports.
• Researching an approved panel of product providers and providing clients with information on new and existing products and services.
• Commercial awareness: keeping up to date with financial products and legislation as well as ensuring your technical knowledge is maintained.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and contact your clients regarding news of financial products/changes to legislation that may affect their savings and investments and ensure that service is delivered to clients in line with the agreed fee/retainer/service level.
• Effectively use internal back office systems to accurately record and update client details.
• Generation of new business as well as maintaining any existing client relationships you may be bringing with you.

Working arrangements

The working week: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) to be worked from 9.30AM to 5.30PM however with the networking side of the job there can be flexibility of hours to meet specific work demands.

Your principal work base is our London Office.

Person specification

• Fully qualified adviser (Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning)
• A minimum of 5 years’ post qualified experience
• Knowledge of back office an research tools eg: Intelliflo; Dynamic Planner; Avelo Exchange; CashCalc
• Strong MS Office skills, ie, Word, Excel and MS Outlook (Essential)
• You will be computer literate with outstanding attention to detail
• Excellent communicator with an exceptional grasp of the English Language; both written and spoken.
• You will be highly self-motivated and a natural self-starter
• Display maturity and understanding in a personable and professional way
• Be highly self-motivated and take pride in your work
• Have competent experience gained as an IFA
• Have a successful track record of producing business revenue
