The role:
We are seeking an experienced, professional and highly motivated Deputy Director of Finance, to manage and lead the Finance function across the Trust in all matters relating to finance and the effective use of resources during this significant period of transition.
This is an opportunity for a successful capable finance leader with board level ambitions, looking to progress their career rapidly to the next level. We will invest and actively develop you in preparation for an executive role in the near future.
You will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the Finance Department, both the functional role of delivering consistently strong; financial governance, financial management and supporting business growth and the wider strategic role in ensuring the Trust maintains the appropriate focus on resources to deliver on its service commitments, and the needs of the organisation into the future.
About you:
Are a qualified accountant with significant experience in financial management, governance, and supporting service growth.
Have experience of leading and working with Finance and Operational teams alike in the development of financial plans that enable the delivery of operational requirements, high quality care and financial sustainability.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable experience in developing productive positive relations.
Financially and politically aware, bringing a high level of NHS knowledge on the delivery of transformational changes within the NHS and acting as an ambassador for the Trust when working with many external NHS organisations and the wider health economy.
Need a strategic perspective, a proven ability to develop a financial culture that enables the delivery of high quality services, complemented by resilience and a collegiate approach.
Our Offer:
Band 9 salary package £91,004 – £104,927 dependent on experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
