Responsibility of finance function for a c35mil turnover business unit as #1 on site (in finance), reporting to the Regional Financial Controller and local Directors (non-finance).
Leading 5x staff in a hands-on manner, driving the efficiency of operational day-to-day finance, timely & accurate production of management accounts and financial & statutory accounts/reporting.
Integrating existing functions into regional structure. This will involve migrations from up to two systems to SAP/Workday.
Continuously reviewing and developing systems/controls/processes relating to the business unit. Implementing changes and guiding change where required.
Business partnering with wider group and local functions such a HR, Operations and Commercial in order to drive performance and financial visibility. Regular interaction with finance and non-finance staff alike, including at director-level.
Reporting at a top level with regular interaction with Group FC, UK head office, and two local business unit directors.
Ownership over budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Leading the business unit annual audit and statutory interactions.
Oversight of transactional finance and payroll processes which are led by members of staff within the teams.
Supporting and developing the teams as required, with an emphasis on staff development and retention.
Supporting FC and directors with ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
Ownership over long-term project accounting tasks in conjunction with commercial teams.
Profile
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with 2+ years post-qualification experience
Strong Management Accounting ability
Commercially aware. Can see the bigger picture and potential opportunities or risks.
Strong, demonstrable system/ERP skills. Integration or implementation exposure would be beneficial.
Project or Statutory/Financial Accountancy experience would be advantageous
