Job Description
This role presents an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a newly created Customs Department. It offers the opportunity to gain valuable expertise and experience in a growing sector and to become an important member of one of leading logistics companies.
Computerized data entry into customs software packages.
Ensuring compliance with all customs procedures by properly documenting and controlling all mandatory customs functions.
Liaising with various stakeholders throughout the customs process to ensure the efficient transport of goods.
Working as part of a dynamic Customs Department to meet tight deadlines.
Ensuring compliance with established internal and external control procedures by examining records, reports and documentation.
Contacting suppliers to obtain relevant paperwork in relation to an import shipment.
Applying the correct tariff codes to consignments.
Reporting discrepancies and maintenance of records
Liaising with other Hauliers and external stakeholders
Assistance with compilation of information for month-end, customs & revenue and for auditing procedures
General Administrative tasks
