Prepare draft IFRS 17 methodology documents for each of the development phases
Deliver gap analysis and impact assessments to be reviewed and signed off by Steer Co
Assist in the testing after each development phase
Make sure all key assumptions are documented and agreed by Steer Co
Implement IFRS 17 into BAU
Assist in the knowledge transfer of IFRS 17
Collaborate with multifunctional teams (Actuarial/IT)
Liaise with external and internal auditors
Work closely with Head office in Munich
Critically appraise all processes and assumptions on an ongoing basis with a ‘continual improvement outlook’
Proactively engage with the relevant stakeholders to improve where opportunity exists
Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
After successful project contribution, assume an important role in the line function, potentially with senior responsibility.
Your profile
Demonstrate detailed knowledge/expertise of IFRS 17
Strong technical background ideally from the Big 4 auditors with in depth knowledge of Lloyd’s accounting/reporting and professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Have experience in end-to-end finance processes, such as Finance operations, Planning, Forecasting, Financial close, intercompany process and Reporting
Experience of managing and/or leading a range of accounting projects
Energetic and naturally curious
Proven ability to communicate with confidence and credibility at all levels
Strong relationship management skills to influence stakeholders and senior management
Analytical, critical thinker and problem solving attitude
Ability to take ownership and actively looking for personal learning and development opportunities
Highly organised, flexible and calm under pressure
