Job Description

You’ll access a powerful combination of on-the-job learning and structured training to help you understand businesses inside and out – not to mention an impressive client list to work with. We then write an audit report to document our findings and provide the client with management actions to address any improvement areas that we have identified.
We help clients across the public and private sectors, so you could be working with local and central government, NHS Trusts and educational organizations, as well as charities, banks and other corporate organizations.

You’ll get the chance to grow professionally, with access to structured training and guidance from expert mentors. Most days, you will travel straight from home to your clients (which could be up to 1.5 hours away). A driving license and access to a car would be desirable.

You’ll gain hands-on experience, have access to on-the-job mentoring. When you join this team, you’ll work towards your professional qualifications beginning with the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CIA) qualification. Once completed you will move onto the Chartered Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification. We do offer a limited number of vacancies to study for the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA), dependent on your academic qualifications. These opportunities are limited and subject to availability.

We support all our people to work flexibly, to manage their family and other responsibilities alongside their work commitments; we believe this is key to achieving an inspiring and fulfilling working environment. We have an authentic focus on intentional inclusion, enabling our people to feel they can bring their whole self to work and ensuring everyone feels supported, respected and confident to make a valuable contribution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You’ll always be fully supported during the audits – you’ll have a dedicated line manager and core team to learn from and be supported by. You’ll be working on a wide variety of projects, so it’s important that you’re adaptable and highly organized. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential as you’ll be communicating at all levels, often explaining complex information both in meetings and in written reports. You will need: 96 UCAS (new tariff) across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification or 104 UCAS (new tariff) across 4 Scottish Higher/Advanced Higher. Please note, RSM does not accept General Studies, AS levels or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ); A predicted or obtained honors degree.
