Job Description

Your role performs professional accounting work including compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data, based on an understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles and bookkeeping experience.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Tracks progress against budgets within established finance systems and reports variances as appropriate, ensuring compliance with local market financial laws, requirements and regulations
  • Implements the global control framework, driving effective development and maintenance of financial controls
  • Works independently to collate and analyses data using standard accounting methodologies, systems, tools and formats to deliver high quality monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to the business
  • Responsible for production of key financial documents including Statutory accounts; monthly reporting, budgeting and reforecast processes; monthly management accounts pack (including commentary and analysis for key business stakeholders); and monthly balance sheet production, reconciliation and validation
  • Manages and participates in the monthly accounting cycle, including assisting with the organization and co-ordination of the month end process and associated Board reports
  • Ensures the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues, providing assurance to business and Finance management that the accounting records of the local entities are accurate
  • Helps others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice
  • Is responsible for gathering and summarizing data for non-standard analyses and reports, improvement projects and programmes
  • Resolves queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policy
  • Contributes to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice. Ensures application of through a positive, proactive, thorough and disciplined approach in the Finance team
  • Leads, coaches and develops an engaged and motivated finance team towards a high- and performance culture of continuous improvement

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1-3 years Accounting or Finance experience. Third level qualification in Finance or Accounting. 6+ months people management experience. ACCA/ ACA / AAT qualified.
