Update Board members, including Independent Directors on progress on liquidity issues
Engage with Business Heads on managing liquidity on a operational as well as strategic basis
Lead a key governance process, Liquidity Management Committee
Member of the Crisis Management team
Supervision of the Liquidity Management and Treasury Operations teams
Coordinate closely with Securities Operations group management around Securities Settlement and Cash Management activities
Co-ordinating new issuance underwriting
Day-to-day management of the Treasury department, including compliance with policies and procedures
Oversee Volcker rule compliance
Optimise Capital Ratio and Liquidity costs
Work closely with Risk and Finance departments to comply with Head Office requirements
Coordinate with the Fixed Income desk to manage cash buffers and liquidity profile
Building out Contingency Funding Plans, participate in the Liquidity processes such as ILAAP
Initiate and manage projects to support the reduction of risk, enhancement of control, introduction of new products and business process changes
The Successful Applicant
The successful Treasurer will have:
Experience working in a similar role within a Financial Services business
Experience, market knowledge, and understanding of accepted practice and industry standards, whilst recognising when decision making needs to be referred elsewhere.
Experience contributing significantly or indeed leading the production and presentation of the ILAAP process
Team leadership experience - must also be a good team player
Project management skills
High level of client service focus
Previous regulatory environment experience
Strong tactical and strategic prioritisation
Previous experience or appreciation of working within a culturally diverse organisation
Able to negotiate outcomes and improvements for the department and company
Clear, articulate and assertive communication with strong interpersonal and rapport building skills
High level of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
Flexible in both task management and ability to deal with fluctuating volumes and job demands
Strong literacy skills and writes clear and concise business documents
What's on Offer
This is a permanent role based in the City of London. The salary on offer is between £95,000 - 110,000 basic (dependent on experience), with competitive benefits and bonus.
