Job Description

You will be joining at a key time as the group plans to acquire further brands and expand their presence in the market. The role will have responsibility for the Management Accounting function for one of the three brands the business owns and will report into the Head of Finance, sitting within a larger finance team. This role will take ownership for managing the relationship with the outsourced transactional team as well as budgeting and forecasting and cash flow, this will provide the successful candidate extensive exposure to internal stakeholders including meeting regularly with the Directors of the brands.
You will include:

  • Producing management accounts for a £3m TO brand
  • Managing the relationship with external transactional team
  • Producing and presenting the cash flow forecast to the Directors of the Group on a monthly basis
  • Processing a small payroll (around 50 employees)
  • Liaising with store managers on a regular basis to ensure that all figures have been reported ahead of month end close
  • Supporting Finance Assistant with training

You will be a part-qualified or newly qualified Accountant with the ability to take ownership for producing a full set of management accounts. Prior experience working within the consumer sector (ideally multi-site) is essential. You must have intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables and v lookups), experience with SAP is preferable but not essential. You will be a problem solver by nature and have a can-do attitude.
