Job Description
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts (incorporating Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statement) for group property companies, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses and monthly forecasting;
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns ensuring appropriate reconciliations are maintained;
- Providing information for the Property Board of Directors as required;
- Preparation of annual budgets for incorporation into the group budget;
- Liaison with external auditors for successful, efficient and timely completion of audits;
- Maintenance of the property Register.
- Preparing and monitoring financing requirements for all companies within the group;
- Liaising with asset finance funders and maintaining asset finance trackers;
- Consolidation of weekly cash and working capital group forecasts;
- Analysis at Group level and appropriate reporting thereon.
Other:
- Assist with accounting for the central service Centre accounts;
- Preparation of year-end Accounts/Audit Packs;
- Assist the Group Financial Controller with management of Group Audit process;
- Assist with group budgeting and audits;
- Assist with preparation of group and subsidiary statutory accounts;
- Ad hoc project analysis, and maintenance of relevant documentation, where required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Educated to degree level / Recognized professional accountancy qualification; Excellent understanding of accounting processes and the need for appropriate controls; Strong attention to detail; Proven ability to deliver high quality work within strict time frames; Proven ability to prepare monthly management accounts; Knowledge of accounting systems – preferably experience of Sage; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Flexible in adapting to varied workloads; Professional conduct & attitude; Ability to work on own initiative; Willingness to take on new tasks and challenges; Knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting; Excellent planning and organizational skills.
