Job Description
Cash management, financing and treasury:
- Monitoring timely receipt of distributions from investments and assisting with cash analysis for semi-annual portfolio valuations, liaising with the wider team
- Preparing and reviewing documentation to ensure payment runs are approved and processed in a timely manner and in line with Company policy
- Updating of cash flow forecasts and identifying funding requirements for different entities
- Manage drawdowns and repayments of the fund’s revolving debt facility including compliance requirements
- Preparation of weekly cash plans for different entities within the group, including repayment of debt facility and execution of cash deposits
- Assisting with the establishment of bank accounts and incorporating new companies, including assisting with company secretary duties
- Preparation of dividend workings for entities in the group and related compliance measures
- Communicating with overseas offices and external parties to ensure timely distribution of funds from foreign entities
- Interaction with tax advisors in regards to tax compliance submissions
Assisting with the preparation of financial reporting:
- Preparation of cash books and accounting journals for group holding companies
- Quarterly interest accruals for different entities
- Interaction with external auditors and the wider InfraRed business, as required, to support timely preparation and audit of annual holding company accounts
- Preparation of holding company accounts under FRS 102
- Liaising with finance managers and where appropriate third-party service providers
- Maintain loan schedules to ensure principal and interest amounts are kept accurate and up to date
- Providing support for the preparation of quarterly reporting packs for the Board of Directors
Ad-hoc responsibility
- Assisting with the ongoing monitoring of acquisition expenditure and approval limits, including responsibility for keeping bid cost sheet up to date
- Prepare monthly director fee invoices for group entities
- Prepare intra group debt and equity funding where required
- Working with banks and other external parties to ensure KYC and other requirements are up to date for all the entities
- Working with the Fund Manager, Portfolio Director and wider InfraRed business to identify efficiencies, process improvements and provide information requests to the business
- Adhering to the Sustainability Policy incorporating sustainability into day-to-day practices to achieve long-term financial success for investors and meeting the requirements of the broader stakeholder group
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Some experience from a similar role with a financial services organization is preferred. Studying for a relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA or equivalent). Competent with Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Organized, able to priorities and meet tight deadlines. Willingness to learn and develop new skills/flexible ‘can do’ approach. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Experience within a fund accounting environment an advantage. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
