Job Description
  • Preparation of accounts for a portfolio of pension schemes using Sage Line 50 and other similar accounting systems
  • Preparation of accompanying Trustee’s Report using templates
  • Preparing working papers and reconciliations to support the financial statements through Sage Line 50 and other similar accounting systems
  • Posting journals to support working papers of accounts
  • Closely working with auditors throughout the accounts sign off process
  • Compliance with regulations and UK accounting requirements
  • Completion of monthly bank reconciliations, cashbooks and other cash management as required
  • Reconcile investment and AVC data, and other information
  • Completing tax returns
  • Check and review of work for junior members of the team
  • Working to agreed deadlines so as to deliver a high quality and efficient service to clients
  • Dealing with queries from other team members, Auditors, Trustees, etc

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Finance related degree preferable. Experience preparing accounts to trial balance. Experiences in accounting and finance work environment. A thorough understanding of double entry book-keeping. Excellent knowledge of computerized systems e.g. Microsoft Office/Windows applications, especially in Excel. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Good interpersonal skills to ensure collaboration with administration, actuarial and consultancy team. Experience of using Sage 50 Accounts.
