Job Description

You will need to possess and demonstrate good communication skills, an ability to use their initiative and work independently when required. We are a small firm and being able to work effectively within a team is essential. We are an ICAEW training practice so some supervision of junior staff will be necessary, including supporting them with work commitments, alongside offering technical support and training when required.
Responsibilities:

  • General bookkeeping - working mainly on Xero and QuickBooks, you will work on all aspects of bookkeeping including bank reconciliations, entering invoices, journals, and VAT. You will also be able to reconcile balance sheet items, deal with accruals, prepayment etc. and prepare accounts to trial balance.
  • Assist with VAT return and management account deadlines.
  • The preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • The preparation of VAT returns.
  • Assistance with payroll as required.
  • A suitable candidate can be given experience to prepare statutory accounts.

The starting salary is competitive and dependent on experience. Subsequent pay awards are based on performance in the role. We are offering the role on a full-time, permanent basis.
