Provide commercial leadership and support to client leads
Key MediaCom contact for Client Procurement and proactively build and strengthen client relationships
(Re)negotiation of contracts and terms of business which reflect scope of work and ensure profitability
Liaison with Agency Client Teams regarding alignment and compliance with GroupM policy relating to data disclosure and data security including ensuring completeness of documentation
Identify opportunities for maximising revenue streams with CCFO, trading and leadership teams
Review of client incentives to ensure we are maximising our potential revenues for future years
Control over scope of work and service levels for various remuneration models
Support diversification of services and advise on appropriate remuneration models and ratecards
Review client profitability and identify potential areas of improvement, supporting client growth plan process
Escalation point for unbilled and debt management issues / disputes
Ad hoc special project work and implementation of best practice measures
Existing clients – Compliance:
Working with compliance team responsible for:
Ensuring compliance with client contracts, the relevant opt-ins are obtained, and that clients are notified as per contract via correct disclosure on the media plans / briefings etc
Ensuring business is updated on client commercial and contract terms
Supporting management of contract compliance audits with third party auditors
Dealing with contract compliance / legal disputes and liaising with internal / external advisors
New business:
Leading development, presentation and negotiation of the remuneration / contract proposal on client pitches and follow through to completion / briefing business
Review and negotiation of client contracts with internal legal counsel support
Responsible for ensuring client contracts follow the Commercial Approval Matrix
Client Reporting & incentive calculations:
Reviewing FTE utilization reports showing actual against forecasts
Ensure optimal usage of resources and fair remuneration including validity of contracts and timely renewals
Reviewing internal and external profitability analysis, and developing strategy to improve long term profitability
Responsible for managing and tracking the financial component of trading guarantees, client incentives and achievement of KPI's/PRFs
Performing ad-hoc internal and client analysis, as required
Trading Management:
Working with wider team to provide advice on the impact of key clients, likely acceptance of trading products including support for upselling of value added services including ensuring opt-ins are obtained
What you will need
Fully qualified accountant or equivalent (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
Demonstrable experience of managing tough client negotiations to completion
A commercial partner to the business, demonstrating a gravitas and clarity of approach that can be successfully communicated to the company stakeholders
An ability to design clear process delivery and to facilitate effective change
Client commercial management in a media / advertising environment
Collaborative team player, relationship builder with a can-do attitude, lots of energy and drive required
Very strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating on daily basis the ability to succinctly communicate with finance and non-finance people alike
Strong listening skills and ability to process verbal information
Proven verbal and written communicator who can measure the requirements of different audiences and adapt his / her communication style accordingly
